My research is centered on questions of how materials intersect with quantum technologies. I am specifically interested in examining how material properties impact dephasing in spin and superconducting qubits, which could enable the creation of techniques to fabricate qubits that are more consistent and longer-lived than current varieties, greatly shortening the timeline to building effective quantum computers. I also believe that there is great potential in leveraging powerful sensing techniques from quantum information to study quantum materials, allowing us to answer long standing questions in condensed matter physics and develop novel applications from these materials. My research combines state-of-the-art techniques in materials deposition and characterization, nanofabrication, and cryogenic measurement.
